Making words work
My first jobs were in book publishing, where I nurtured a lifelong love of books, writing, and learning. My transition to UX began with a fortuitous meeting with a skilled UX designer who very kindly let me shadow her on user interviews and during design crits. I had found my thing.
Before long I read up on UX design, research, and writing, got to know folks in those communities, then completed a UX design bootcamp. I started my UX career on amazing product content teams at Fidelity, VMWare Carbon Black, and Duo Security.
Now I'm a Content Design Leader at Cisco, and I live with my family in Ann Arbor, MI. I also run a monthly-ish UX content design meetup.
